Dj Format

Dj Format - The Work's Just Dried Up
Comming Soon...............

DJ Format AKA Matt Ford's debut album “Music For The Mature B-Boy” is one of the slowburn success stories of 2002. An album of soulful, funk fuelled hip hop packed with infectious beats and lyrical dexterity, it delivered in spades on the promise of his early releases for Mo' Wax and Bomb Hip Hop. Received with quiet acclaim in the press it quickly became a word of mouth triumph, going on to establish itself as one of the most successful debut artist album’s in UK hip hop/alternative urban/dance scene.

A rare Mix LP produced by Psycho Pab from the Psychonauts, released in very limited numbers. This also had a release on CD with a explanation in the tracklisting describing what the mix is all about.

DJ Danger Mouse (Gorillaz MixTape)

Roadkill - The Mixtape
New Link For Stew (Z-Trip Board)

Extremely rare Gorillaz mix tape. While the title suggests it was mixed by Gorillaz' fictional animated drummer Russel Hobbs, in reality, it was mixed by Demon Days producer DJ Danger Mouse. CD-Rs of the mix were given away at a few Kid Robot stores to customers who bought the Gorillaz action figures. It's one track, 22:25 continuous minutes of what can only be described
as a hip-hop masterpiece. The concept is that Danger Mouse only mixed music together from artists who have explicitly worked on Demon Days (The Jemini song was originally produced by Danger Mouse, so he counted that). This thing is fantastic.

Herbaliser

Herbaliser @ FabricLive 26
Comming Soon......................

Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba have worked together for over a decade. They heard about each other at college: Jake was getting a rep with various bands and Ollie was busy collecting records and trainers. Years passed before they started making tracks, but within months of doing so they had been signed to Ninja Tune, just as the hip hop/jazz breaks sound was about to explode.
'Fabriclive 26' flies by in a hip hop heat haze. Ollie and Jake perform turntable gymnastics, throwing down bumping rhythms and energetic joints and mixing up the rare, the obscure, the loved and the lost. This is an irresistible, addictive and infectious mix, blending the past, present and future of body rocking, dancefloor sounds.

James Lavelle (

Live @ Tribal Gathering 1996

JAMES LAVELLE, who formed Mo'Wax while still in his teens as an antidote to the increasingly stale acid jazz/Northern Soul scene. Stripping the music down to its barest of essentials -- bass, percussion, minimal samples and heavy effects -- the Mo'Wax sound (best exemplified by the second Mo'Wax label comp, Headz, as well as its sequel, the two-part Headz 2) quickly gained respectability and a large audience.
